Overview
A national law firm with offices in all 50 states is seeking a senior-level attorney to join its Advertising and E-Commerce Practice Group, Privacy Practice Group, and Artificial Intelligence Practice Group in the Washington, D.C. office. Candidates must have at least 5 years of legal experience focused on advertising and e-commerce technology and software transactions, with familiarity in consumer data, privacy, and artificial intelligence issues, gained either in-house or at a law firm. Flexible work arrangements are available, including fully remote, hybrid, and full-time options.
Responsibilities
- Provide transactional and compliance legal counsel to companies in the e-commerce ecosystem, including service providers.
- Advise on advertising technology and related agreements.
- Counsel clients on issues related to online advertising, social media and advertising platforms, lead generation, payment processing, and artificial intelligence technology.
- Address privacy concerns related to these areas.
- Deliver proactive, strategic legal advice to clients such as e-commerce retailers, advertising platforms, lead generators, data brokers, software companies, and other technology firms.
- Handle matters independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team of experienced attorneys.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience.
- Strong background in advertising and e-commerce technology and software transactions.
- Familiarity with consumer data, privacy, and artificial intelligence legal issues.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Proven skills in legal writing, analysis, and research.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage cases independently.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with online advertising, social media platforms, lead generation, payment processing, and artificial intelligence technology.
- Transactional and compliance experience in the e-commerce ecosystem.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $215,000 to $250,000, tailored based on experience, skills, practice area, business generation, work arrangement, and geographic market.
