Overview

A partner organization is seeking an Advogado(a) Contencioso Cível / Direito do Consumidor based in Brazil. This role is suited for a legal professional with strong experience in civil litigation and consumer law, focused on managing complex corporate legal matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil litigation and consumer law cases, particularly involving credit operations and banking correspondent activities.
  • Develop procedural strategies and prepare legal documents such as defenses, appeals, motions, and enforcement submissions.
  • Analyze case information, evidence, and documentation to define defense strategies.
  • Monitor legal proceedings, deadlines, and procedural updates.
  • Maintain accurate records in legal management systems.
  • Participate in hearings as required.
  • Prepare management reports and assist in identifying risks and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Interface with clients, representatives, and partner law firms.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of legal operations and service quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
  • Proven experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of Consumer Law.
  • Experience preparing legal documents including defenses, appeals, legal submissions, and sentence enforcement documents.
  • Experience managing high-volume litigation portfolios.
  • Excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective deadline management.
  • Proactive with good prioritization and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams and accept feedback.
  • Commitment to technical quality and achieving performance goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with fintechs, banks, payment institutions, or banking correspondents.
  • Knowledge of Central Bank regulations related to banking correspondents and credit operations.
  • Experience with legal management platforms such as Projuris, Elaw, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting corporate clients.
