Overview
This role involves partnering closely with a business immigration attorney to manage high-volume, high-quality corporate immigration cases. The focus is on leading PERM and H-1B case preparation from intake through filing, with additional exposure to L-1, E visas, and extraordinary-ability matters such as EB-1A, O-1, and EB-2 NIW as needed. The position requires guiding clients through document collection, preparing USCIS forms, drafting case materials, and serving as a professional point of contact for corporate HR partners and foreign-national employees.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a business immigration attorney to execute corporate immigration casework.
- Lead preparation of PERM and H-1B cases from intake through filing.
- Assist with L-1, E visas, and extraordinary-ability petitions (EB-1A, O-1, EB-2 NIW) as needed.
- Guide clients through document collection and evidence gathering ensuring compliance with USCIS and DOL requirements.
- Prepare USCIS forms and draft clear, persuasive, and well-organized case materials tailored to each petition.
- Serve as a steady, professional point of contact for corporate HR and foreign-national employees, managing updates and expectations.
- Track deadlines and manage a substantial caseload with meticulous record-keeping.
- Anticipate attorney needs and align on preferences to support higher-level legal strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in U.S. corporate immigration.
- Significant hands-on experience with PERM and H-1B cases.
- Experience managing high-volume corporate workloads and working directly with HR stakeholders.
- Ability to own paralegal workflows from intake through filing.
- Strong drafting skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven track record of direct client communication in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High organization, reliability, and ability to manage multiple deadlines smoothly.
- Comfort with legal technology, case management systems, and process improvements.
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with L-1, E-1/E-2 visas.
- Experience with extraordinary-ability cases such as EB-1A, O-1, or EB-2 NIW.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 - $105,000 USD annually (base compensation).
- Actual pay depends on factors including location, experience, education, skills, and role scope.
- Candidates outside the United States may apply; compensation will be assessed according to regional models.
- Outside the U.S., compensation is contractor-based at $15-$25 per hour depending on location and experience.
