Overview
The organization is seeking an Antitrust/Competition Litigation Attorney for a full-time, 12-month contract engagement with the possibility of extension up to 18 months. This is a remote role (preference for candidates located in Redmond, WA).
This engagement is for an in-house, global, publicly traded company client and involves complex antitrust/competition litigation and related government investigations.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage complex litigation and investigation workstreams while collaborating closely with the in-house legal team
- Handle complex antitrust/competition matters, including:
- Monopolization
- Tying
- Price-fixing
- Antitrust class actions
- Participate in and support government investigation matters, including matters involving the DOJ, FTC, or other competition authorities
- Manage discovery, including:
- Discovery management
- Depositions
- Subpoenas
- Coordinate with leading outside counsel as needed
- Support multi-jurisdictional matters
Requirements
- At least 10 years of substantial experience handling complex antitrust/competition litigation and related government investigations
- Ability to independently manage complex litigation and investigation workstreams while collaborating closely with the in-house legal team
- Capabilities should include discovery management, depositions, subpoenas, coordination with leading outside counsel, and management of multi-jurisdictional matters
- Outstanding references
- JD or equivalent qualifying law degree
- Admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling both litigation and regulatory investigations
- Prior experience working in the antitrust litigation and investigations practice at an Am Law 200 law firm and/or a Fortune 100 publicly-traded company, managing complex antitrust matters
- Familiarity with eDiscovery and AI-assisted investigation tools
Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized pay range: USD $170,000 to $200,000 (calculated on a full-time basis)
- Contract pay is based on multiple factors, including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position)
