Overview
A full-service creditor's rights law firm with a national bankruptcy practice is seeking a remote Associate Attorney with experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. The role requires a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. While 3+ years of bankruptcy experience is preferred, candidates with less experience who demonstrate a team-oriented approach may be considered and trained.
License Requirement: Must be licensed to practice law in Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Manage routine bankruptcy matters primarily
- Draft and review pleadings and claims related to bankruptcy cases
- Attend scheduled hearings
- Respond to firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries
- Review client filings
- Monitor all electronic filings (ECFs)
- Resolve routine bankruptcy issues such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of Claim, etc.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Licensed to practice law in Arizona
- Admission to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in Arizona
- Knowledge of bankruptcy rules, laws, and general creditor rights laws
- Strong computer literacy and keyboard skills
- Attention to detail and professionalism
- Effective time management and communication skills
