Overview
A national defense firm is seeking passionate attorneys licensed in New Mexico with experience working remotely in General Liability and Medical Malpractice defense. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with 3+ years of experience specializing in defending against all types of General Liability claims, including Medical Malpractice cases.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare summaries of medical records to advocate effectively for clients.
- Draft motions and attend hearings to represent clients in court.
- Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as needed.
- Draft initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trial documents, and appellate activity.
- Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery-related motions.
- Regularly attend court appearances to ensure favorable outcomes.
- Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
Requirements
- Admission to practice law in New Mexico.
- Ability to work efficiently in a remote setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues.
- Excellent research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience drafting and responding to discovery-related motions.
- Experience drafting motions for summary judgment.
- Willingness to regularly attend court appearances.
- Experience taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in General Liability and Medical Malpractice defense.
