Overview
An established legal firm specializing in creditors’ rights law for nearly 50 years is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. This role involves collaborating with experienced attorneys and leveraging technology to provide comprehensive legal services in foreclosure, bankruptcy, litigation, and related areas.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and related court proceedings.
- Draft and review motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Attend court hearings both in person and virtually.
- Provide legal oversight and collaborate with support staff.
- Deliver responsive, client-focused legal services in a high-volume practice.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in Alabama (required).
- 3-5+ years of legal experience (all qualified applicants considered).
- Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and driven.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and remain focused for extended periods.
- Ability to work extensively on computers and perform repetitive movements such as typing and clicking.
- Ability to multitask.
- Local court-related travel within Alabama is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-state licensure is a plus.
- Experience in litigation, bankruptcy, or collections.
- Federal licensure.
