Overview
A consumer protection law firm based in the Financial District of New York City is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join their practice in Arizona. The firm represents consumers who have been harassed or deceived by creditors and debt collectors. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of clients in Arizona
- Communicate with clients regarding their legal matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and review and draft agreements
- Negotiate and communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims
- Conduct legal research on contract law and other consumer law issues
- Attend court appearances as required (travel may be necessary)
- Coordinate with the main office via telephone and electronic communication (email, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
Requirements
- Admission to practice law in Arizona is mandatory
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant law firm experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- High ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with senior management and colleagues at all levels
- Proficiency in legal research; experience with LexisNexis is a plus

- Annual salary of $90,000
