Overview
Full-time associate attorney position managing a diverse caseload from inception through resolution. This role provides strategic legal counsel and representation in court, arbitrations, and depositions. The position requires strong research, drafting, and litigation skills, along with the ability to collaborate with partners and clients in a fast-paced environment. Independence, strong communication, and a commitment to meeting a 1,950-hour annual billable requirement are essential.
Responsibilities
- Review claims and analyze causes of action
- Conduct extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions
- Draft and respond to discovery requests
- Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses
- Prepare for trial and attend trial proceedings
- Collaborate with partners, clients, and stakeholders to deliver strategic and practical legal advice
- Manage deadlines and assignments with ownership and independence

Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in TX required; additional bar admissions in Oklahoma and Arkansas a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in practice group
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Professional demeanor with strong client-relations and communication skills
- Must be responsive and organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
