Overview

This role is for an Associate Attorney supporting healthcare providers in disputes involving insurance carriers and managed care organizations. You will help resolve denied claims through administrative appeals—applying legal analysis, contract knowledge, and persuasive written advocacy—without the stress of litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Represent healthcare providers in administrative appeals for denied insurance claims.
  • Develop creative and effective legal arguments to overturn claim denials.
  • Draft compelling, well-researched appeal letters to insurance companies and benefit administrators.
  • Use provider manuals and managed care contracts to dispute unjust denials.
  • Work with provider representatives and resolution teams to navigate complex claims.
  • Identify industry trends and provide insights to improve recovery strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supportive team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to upholding HIPAA compliance and company policies.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
