Overview
The employer is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its consumer protection practice in Indiana. This is a remote role.

- Compensation: $90,000 / year
Because the firm’s headquarters are in New York, this position requires communication with the main office exclusively via telephone and electronic means (e.g., email, Microsoft Teams).
Eligibility for consideration: Candidates should be within commutable distance or currently located in Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of clients in Indiana
- Communicate with clients regarding their matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements
- Communicate with opposing parties to resolve and/or settle claims
- Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
- While working from home, be prepared to travel for in-court appearances
Requirements
- Currently admitted to practice law in Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with senior management and employees at all levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong legal research skills
- Proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
