Overview

An established international law firm is seeking a California-licensed Associate Attorney to join its Aviation Litigation Practice Group. This role focuses on complex aviation-related litigation matters and offers flexible work arrangements, including hybrid or fully remote options within California.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed analyses
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Interview clients, eyewitnesses, and other relevant parties
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive case status and strategy reports to clients
  • Communicate directly with clients and insurers
  • Assist in all phases of case development, litigation strategy, and trial preparation
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives efficiently

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active California Bar admission in good standing
  • Minimum of 3 years of substantive litigation experience
  • Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and legal briefs
  • Strong legal research skills using platforms such as Westlaw, Lexis, or Nexis
  • Experience preparing correspondence, opinion letters, and client reports
  • Ability to manage document review and discovery processes
  • Courtroom exposure including depositions, hearings, and mediations preferred
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the aviation industry
  • Federal court admission

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: $160,000–$200,000, commensurate with experience and market factors
