Overview
An established international law firm is seeking a California-licensed Associate Attorney to join its Aviation Litigation Practice Group. This role focuses on complex aviation-related litigation matters and offers flexible work arrangements, including hybrid or fully remote options within California.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and prepare detailed analyses
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Interview clients, eyewitnesses, and other relevant parties
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive case status and strategy reports to clients
- Communicate directly with clients and insurers
- Assist in all phases of case development, litigation strategy, and trial preparation
- Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives efficiently
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record
- Active California Bar admission in good standing
- Minimum of 3 years of substantive litigation experience
- Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and legal briefs
- Strong legal research skills using platforms such as Westlaw, Lexis, or Nexis
- Experience preparing correspondence, opinion letters, and client reports
- Ability to manage document review and discovery processes
- Courtroom exposure including depositions, hearings, and mediations preferred
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aviation industry
- Federal court admission
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $160,000–$200,000, commensurate with experience and market factors
