Overview

A national litigation firm specializing in insurance defense is seeking motivated attorneys to join their growing team. The firm is known for innovative trial advocacy and a strong focus on achieving results in complex insurance defense cases.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective case strategies that focus on results
  • Manage court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials independently
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff across experience levels
  • Maintain professional communication with clients
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to team development

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active bar license in the State of Texas
  • 1 to 8 years of litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation
  • Ability to manage a full caseload independently from discovery through trial
  • Prior insurance defense experience preferred
  • Familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance defense litigation
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $100,000 to $145,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional bonuses of $7,500 for each higher tier

  • 401(k) plan with 100% match on the first 3% contributed and 50% match on the next 4-5%
