Eligibility / Location Requirements
Candidates should be located in or within a commutable distance to Springfield, IL to be considered.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of clients in Illinois.
- Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Review and draft agreements.
- Communicate with opposing parties to resolve and/or settle claims.
- Conduct legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
- Work remotely from home, with travel required for in-court appearances.
Requirements
- Currently admitted to practice law in Illinois.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
- Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with senior management and employees at all levels.
- Strong legal research skills (proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus).
