Overview
An established legal firm with nearly 50 years of experience in creditors’ rights law is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. This role involves working collaboratively with experienced attorneys and operational staff to provide comprehensive legal representation across various practice areas including foreclosure, bankruptcy, litigation, and related matters.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and related court proceedings.
- Draft and review motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Attend court hearings both in person and virtually.
- Provide legal oversight and collaborate with support staff.
- Deliver responsive, client-focused legal services in a high-volume practice.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in Tennessee (required).
- 3-5+ years of legal experience (all qualified applicants considered).
- Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and driven.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and remain focused for extended periods.
- Ability to work on computers for significant portions of the day.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements such as typing, clicking, and swiveling.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Local court-related travel within Tennessee is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-state licensure is a plus.
- Experience in litigation, bankruptcy, or collections.
- Federal licensure.
