Overview
This role is for an Associate Attorney to join the firm’s Bankruptcy team serving Virginia/Maryland matters. The position involves providing comprehensive legal representation across multiple creditor-rights and related areas, supported by experienced attorneys and an operational team under the guidance of a managing attorney.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and related court proceedings
- Draft and review motions, pleadings, and correspondence
- Attend court hearings in person and virtually
- Provide legal oversight and collaborate with support staff
- Deliver responsive, client-focused legal services in a high-volume practice
Requirements
- Licensed in Virginia
- Licensed in Maryland (preferred)
- 4–5+ years of experience; Bankruptcy experience highly preferred
- Experience working in Creditors Rights, Bankruptcy, and related areas of practice
- Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and driven
Preferred Qualifications
- Maryland licensure
- Demonstrated Bankruptcy experience
