Overview
The organization is seeking a North Carolina licensed Associate Attorney with some real property law experience. This position is remote and is located in North Carolina.

Responsibilities
- Represent clients in all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested foreclosures and real estate litigation.
- Conduct comprehensive review of all conditions precedent to filing of the action, including review of loan documents, financials, and demand letters.
- Perform comprehensive title reviews to identify title defects, missing links in chain of title, or encumbrances, and execute necessary corrective legal actions.
- Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence to initiate and maintain foreclosure actions.
- Research and analyze applicable statutes, case law, regulatory requirements, and servicing requirements.
- Conduct legal research and legal writing.
- Attend court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel.
- Ensure internal client systems are reviewed and updated to include findings, documentation, and recommendations.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Prioritize and complete a high volume of work to meet firm, client, investor, and court deadlines.
- Use firm and client systems to ensure applicable deadlines are met.
- Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable.
Requirements
- Admission to the North Carolina State Bar.
- Demonstrated experience in title review and the ability to analyze corrective title action opportunities.
- Intermediate to advanced-level computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office products) and general office skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written electronic correspondence.
- Meticulous analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Admission to federal and bankruptcy courts in North Carolina.
- Prior foreclosure experience.
- Previous experience with electronic case management and client systems.
- Prior knowledge of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control (strongly preferred).
Education and Training
- Juris Doctor.
- North Carolina bar membership.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes the benefits package.
