Overview
Full-time position for an Associate Attorney responsible for managing a diverse caseload from inception through resolution. The role includes providing strategic legal counsel and representation in court, arbitrations, and depositions. Success in this position requires strong research, drafting, and litigation skills, along with the ability to collaborate with partners and clients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates independence, effective communication, and a commitment to meeting a 1,950-hour annual billable requirement.
Responsibilities
- Review case files and perform legal analysis of claims and causes of action
- Conduct extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions
- Draft and respond to discovery requests
- Support expert witness retention and collaborate with relevant parties
- Prepare for trials and attend trial proceedings
- Collaborate closely with partners, clients, and stakeholders to deliver strategic and practical legal advice
- Manage deadlines and assignments with a high level of ownership and independence

Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in state posted (required); additional bar admissions a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in practice group
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Professional demeanor with strong client-relations and communication skills
- Responsive and organized; able to prioritize multiple tasks
