Overview
Associate Attorney position within a creditors’ rights law practice focused on Oklahoma matters. Licensure is required with admission to the Oklahoma Bar. This is a State-Level Attorney role involving review of information at placement of files to determine collection eligibility and Oklahoma litigation work.
Responsibilities
- Handle full litigation responsibilities, including:
- Reviewing correspondence
- Reviewing files to determine whether they are suit appropriate
- Reviewing answers
- Preparing discovery
- Preparing dispositive motions
- Participating in trial and appearing for hearings
- Conduct post-judgment remedies work, including attachment and garnishment.
- Stay current on state and federal consumer laws and track changes in state or local rules.
- Manage a high-volume docket of civil litigation cases in the area of debt collection through all phases of litigation, from commencement through post-judgment actions.
Requirements
- A law degree.
- Bar admission in Oklahoma.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a general litigation attorney.
- Experience in creditor’s rights litigation.
- Experience in appellate court and/or Federal Court.
Work Environment
Schedule
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to support business needs.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequently required to talk and/or hear, and use hands to type, handle, or touch objects.
- Regularly required to stand and walk; may be required to stop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
