Overview
A technology organization is seeking a Commercial Corporate Counsel to join their Legal team. This role involves providing commercial legal support to the sales organization, focusing on technology transactions, data privacy, and artificial intelligence. The position supports business and sales units primarily within the North America region.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including cloud services and SaaS agreements, amendments, letters, NDAs, RFP responses, statements of work, licensing agreements, BAAs, DPAs, and other cloud-based transactions
- Engage with data privacy, data security, and artificial intelligence legal issues
- Prepare standard contract templates for recurring transactions and new business models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as business/sales, Data Privacy, Security, Product Counsel, and Finance to ensure alignment with company processes and risk management
- Support initiatives to improve contracting standards, templates, playbooks, and best practices
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting cloud-based software solutions and share insights with the team
Required Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar and in good standing in any US State or Territory
- Right to reside and work in the United States
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in-house
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions with sound judgment
- Comfortable in customer-facing roles with strong conversational skills
- Ability to manage complex workloads, prioritize tasks, and work independently
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with high standards for integrity and collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in commercial and contract law, especially cloud, licensing, and strategic transactions
- Experience in customer-facing roles demonstrating diplomacy and empathy in negotiations
- Knowledge of legal issues specific to the technology and cloud computing industries; experience with contact center technology is a plus
- Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory compliance issues
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make difficult decisions with minimal supervision

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $95,000.00 - $167,000.00 (actual salary depends on experience, qualifications, skills, and location)
