Overview
This established real estate law firm is seeking a Fair Housing Attorney to join its legal team. The role supports clients—property owners and managers—in efforts to avoid potential fair housing liability.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with analysis of fair housing issues
- Draft letters to residents, fair housing advocacy groups, and opposing counsel
- Draft agreements for reasonable accommodations and modifications
- Review lease documents for fair housing compliance
- Draft opinion letters
Qualifications
- J.D. and an active California Bar license
- 1–2 years of experience practicing landlord-tenant and/or fair housing law
- Excellent legal writing and negotiation skills
- Ability to assimilate facts, provide analysis, and prepare responses under short deadlines
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and think outside the box
- Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Both fair housing and landlord-tenant experience
- Pro Law experience
- Experience writing articles for industry publications
- Bilingual in Spanish
Compensation & Benefits
- $100,000 to $130,000/annually (DOE) + benefits

Location & Schedule
- Full-time, exempt
- Business hours: 8:30am–5:30pm Monday–Thursday; 8:30am–5:00pm Friday
- Fully remote in California, or hybrid/in-office at any of the firm’s California offices
- Only candidates residing in California will be considered for this role
