Overview
The organization is seeking an attorney to join its growing business and real estate transactional practice.
This is a remote position for a candidate located in the Columbus area.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal services for business and real estate transactional matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts
- Prepare corporate documents for complex business transactions
- Support business acquisition and sale transactions
- Handle real estate matters including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and title
- Support partnership and merger & acquisition transactions
- Provide real estate title and closing experience
- Support commercial finance matters, including borrower and /or lender representation
- Deliver high-quality legal work with strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency
- Maintain strong communication skills and a client-first approach
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree required
- Licensed to practice in Ohio
- Strong academic credentials
- Strong analytical, writing, and legal research skills
- Commitment to delivering quality legal work for the organization’s clients
- Commitment to growing one’s practice
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work with urgency
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience preferred
- Preferred experience or knowledge in Business & Real Estate Transactional, including:
- Business and entity formation, selection, and structure
- Contract drafting, review and negotiation
- Drafting of corporate documents for complex business transactions
- Buying/Selling a Business
- Real Estate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Leasing and Title
- Partnerships and Mergers & Acquisitions
- Real Estate Title and Closing Experience
- Commercial Finance including Borrower and /or Lender Representation
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation includes a base salary plus an excellent performance-based bonus and benefits package.
