Overview

An enterprise technology organization is seeking an experienced attorney to support complex SaaS and commercial transactions. This fully remote role, based in the United States, involves partnering closely with sales, finance, product, operations, and executive leadership to accelerate growth while managing legal and commercial risk.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and execute complex commercial agreements including SaaS, software licensing, services, data privacy, vendor, procurement, and enterprise contracts
  • Collaborate directly with sales and business leaders to advance revenue opportunities while balancing legal and operational risks
  • Provide practical guidance on contract interpretation, liability exposure, compliance, dispute mitigation, and commercial strategy
  • Manage complex negotiations with enterprise customers and vendors
  • Support vendor management, RFP processes, and strategic partnership activities
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, security, compliance, product, and executive teams
  • Contribute legal support for strategic initiatives such as financing, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
  • Help develop scalable contracting processes, negotiation playbooks, and operational efficiencies
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent transactions and priorities

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial transactions, technology law, or SaaS contracting within in-house legal departments, boutique practices, or partner-track law firms
  • Experience negotiating complex SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, data privacy, technology procurement, and enterprise commercial agreements
  • Proven ability to serve as a strategic business partner while managing detailed contract language and negotiation workflows
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales organizations and high-value customer transactions
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property, licensing, and technology risk concepts
  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to independently create and revise agreements
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills in high-volume environments
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar

Preferred: Experience in the insurance, retirement, pension, or group benefits industry

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: $160,000 - $190,000 (U.S. based, fully remote)
