Overview
This role involves guiding clients through complex immigration matters, specifically focusing on extraordinary-ability and high-skilled visa categories such as EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1A. The position balances strategic consulting and case management, supported by advanced AI tools designed to enhance efficiency and quality without replacing legal judgment.
Responsibilities
- Manage individual immigration cases from initial handoff through final submission, including legal strategy development and milestone management.
- Oversee paralegals within your team for document collection, organization, and filing logistics to focus on strategic legal work.
- Utilize AI-powered technology to improve case quality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with paralegals and attorneys to ensure seamless case handoffs and maintain high standards of legal quality, ethics, and client service.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active U.S. bar admission.
- Strong working knowledge of extraordinary-ability and high-skilled immigration categories (EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1A).
- Clear and confident communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal concepts in plain language.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and case management.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications by Experience Level
Associate (0–3 years):
- Emphasis on legal research and writing.
- Genuine interest in immigration law.
- High responsiveness and eagerness to learn quickly.
Mid-Senior Level Associate (4–7 years):
- Experience preparing extraordinary-ability and high-skilled petitions.
- Growing comfort with direct client communication.
- Motivation to take ownership of cases.
Senior Associate (8+ years):
- Deep expertise in petition strategy for extraordinary-ability and high-skilled categories.
- Ability to mentor junior attorneys.
- Ambition to advance toward practice leadership roles.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $115,000 to $215,000 USD, reflecting base pay and excluding potential bonuses or equity.
- Compensation is determined by factors including location, experience, education, skills, and role scope.
- Flat-fee billing model with no billable hour requirements.
