Overview
A legal services organization is seeking a Banking & Finance Lawyer to support a diverse client base across various industries. The role involves providing practical legal advice and support related to complex financing arrangements, working closely with lenders, borrowers, and institutional clients. The position includes advising on both domestic and cross-border transactions and drafting key financing documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical legal advice on real estate finance and asset finance transactions, representing lenders, borrowers, and investors.
- Advise on commercial real estate financing, property development finance, and asset-backed lending structures involving investment and development assets.
- Draft, negotiate, and review financing documentation such as loan facility agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary finance documents.
- Support asset finance transactions including financing arrangements for equipment, infrastructure assets, and receivables-based or asset-backed lending.
- Manage domestic and cross-border financing transactions, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer eligible to practice in the UK with the right to work in the UK.
- Demonstrated experience advising on real estate finance, property finance, or asset finance transactions within a Banking & Finance team.
- Experience drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security packages, intercreditor agreements, and other finance documentation.
- Background from leading law firms or high-quality in-house legal teams, with exposure to commercial real estate lending or asset-backed financing structures.
- Strong commercial awareness, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
