Overview
A nationally recognized immigration law firm is seeking a Business Immigration Attorney to join their remote-first team based across the United States. This is a permanent, full-time position focused on business immigration casework, providing strategic legal counsel, and managing immigration programs for corporate clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file immigration cases including H-1B, I-140, I-485, and other relevant nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions
- Manage client relationships, including consulting with small business clients and guiding them through immigration processes
- Support Managing Attorney on enterprise client matters and provide leadership to assigned teams
- Collaborate with other attorneys or departments on projects as needed
- Maintain quality and consistency of casework within assigned teams
- Evaluate cases and develop case strategies or solutions to legal issues
- Provide coverage for attorneys during vacations or leaves of absence
- Mentor and supervise paralegals and other staff as required
- Perform reporting and auditing duties
- Stay current with changes in immigration law and policy
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda or briefs
- Analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice
- Prepare filings for complex immigration case management
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Admission to the State Bar
- 1-3 years of related experience in business immigration law
- At least 1 year of experience with PERM labor certification
- Experience with H-1B, L-1, TN, and E visa categories
- Proven ability to meet Service Level Expectations (SLEs) consistently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including grammar and spelling
- Strong interpersonal skills focused on client service
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills for data and case evaluation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Tech-savvy with ability to adapt to case processing software
- Ability to maintain positive team morale in a remote work environment
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving skills with ability to strategize solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $70,000 - $105,000
