Overview

The organization is seeking a California licensed family law attorney for a fully remote contract engagement with one of its law firm clients. This is a full-time engagement anticipated to last approximately four months.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including:
    • Divorce
    • Child custody disputes
    • Child and spousal support
    • Preliminary disclosures
    • Property division
    • Dissolution matters
    • Domestic violence restraining orders
    • Other family law matters
  • Perform legal research and draft written work product

Requirements

  • 5+ years of law firm experience representing clients in family law matters, including divorces, child custody disputes, child and spousal support, preliminary disclosures, property division, dissolution matters, and domestic violence restraining orders
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in California
  • Outstanding references

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling matters in San Francisco County Superior Court

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annualized compensation (full-time basis): between $250,000 and $280,000
  • Pay is based on numerous factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location
  • In addition to salary, W2 employees are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan
  • Benefits-eligible employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance
  • Attorneys receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend
