Overview
A national law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 4-20 years of civil litigation experience, including a minimum of 4 years in California civil litigation. Openings are available for Associates, Senior Counsel, and Non-Equity Partners. This full-time position offers flexibility to work 100% remotely, in-office, or in a hybrid arrangement. The role may lead directly to a partnership track.
Responsibilities
- Represent national and international clients in civil litigation matters
- Draft legal documents, including motions for summary judgment
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate as second chair in all aspects of civil trials
- Handle cases from inception through trial with strong office support
- Work on challenging and high-profile lawsuits
- Develop intelligent and creative defenses in complex catastrophic injury cases
- Litigate against top plaintiff attorneys in Southern California
Requirements
- 4-20 years of civil litigation experience, with at least 4 years in California civil litigation
- Previous experience in law with a focus on civil litigation
- Familiarity with various legal documents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong multitasking ability to meet court and internal deadlines
