Civil Litigation Attorneys
Overview
A national law firm with offices in all 50 states is seeking civil litigation attorneys for its Sacramento office. Candidates with at least three years of experience are preferred, but all experience levels are welcome to apply.
Openings are available for defense litigators across various practice areas, including:
- Employment
- Complex Commercial
- Construction
- Healthcare
- Professional Liability
- Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith
- Environmental
- Toxic Tort
- Product Liability
- General Liability
Candidates should be driven team players with excellent litigation, writing, and persuasive speaking skills. A strong academic background and proven research skills are required. Applicants must be self-starters capable of handling assignments with minimal supervision. Trial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates must be licensed and admitted to practice in the State of California.
Responsibilities
- Handle civil litigation cases primarily in defense practice areas
- Participate in client interactions and manage appearances at hearings, depositions, and trials
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Collaborate with team members in a collegial environment
Requirements
- Admission to practice law in California
- Minimum of three years of civil litigation experience preferred; all experience levels considered
- Strong litigation, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent research capabilities
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range:
- Associates: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
- Senior Counsel/Of Counsel: $140,000 - $200,000 per year
- Partners: $190,000 - $275,000 per year
- Actual salary will be based on skills, experience, training, and location
- Eligibility for subjective and objective bonuses
