Overview

A client is seeking Civil Rights Attorneys to contribute to a project focused on advancing technology and legal understanding. This role involves applying legal expertise to help train next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required; domain knowledge in civil rights law is the key qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and annotate legal documents and case studies related to civil rights law.
  • Develop detailed explanations of legal concepts, statutes, and precedents within the civil rights domain.
  • Draft and refine realistic scenarios, queries, and responses to simulate authentic civil rights legal situations.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, legal soundness, and ethical compliance, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Research and summarize emerging trends, case law updates, and policy developments impacting civil rights.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and technology professionals through clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ensure all contributions meet high standards of accuracy, clarity, and practical applicability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active bar membership in the United States.
  • Substantial experience practicing civil rights law, including litigation or policy analysis.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in conveying complex legal ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with landmark civil rights cases, federal and state statutes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex legal information and present it in accessible formats.
  • Interest in technology, artificial intelligence, and innovative approaches to legal problem-solving is a plus.
