Overview

Remote, US-only project work for commercial lawyers. This role involves marking up commercial documents using a defined playbook; written reasoning is used to create training material for AI systems. No prior AI experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Mark up commercial paper such as master services agreements, NDAs, and data-processing terms, following the playbook and the policy positions provided
  • Identify issues in draft documents and determine the company position and fallback for each
  • Write a short, clear rationale for every change
  • Apply technology-transactions knowledge to real legal documents
  • Coordinate with the project team to keep standards consistent
  • Work independently on your own schedule while meeting deadlines (fully remote)

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited school and active bar status in a US jurisdiction
  • 4 or more years of transactional work, either in private practice or as company counsel, centered on negotiating and drafting agreements
  • Strong fluency in commonly negotiated provisions, including liability caps, indemnities, confidentiality, and data-protection terms
  • Ability to distill complex points into concise written analysis
  • Careful, accurate, and consistent contract review
