Overview

A leading global industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced Commercial Attorney to provide interim legal support for its aerospace business. This role involves negotiating complex commercial agreements with major aerospace customers and advising business and engineering teams on practical legal solutions. The attorney will also assist with government contracting matters and address manufacturing-related legal issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate sophisticated commercial contracts with major aerospace clients
  • Provide legal advice to business and engineering teams on operational and manufacturing issues
  • Support government contracting compliance and related legal matters
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to solve complex challenges

Requirements

  • Significant experience in the aerospace industry
  • Strong commercial contracting skills
  • Familiarity with government contracts
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Pragmatic and business-focused approach

Engagement Details

  • Immediate start
  • Expected duration: 2 months with potential extension
  • Remote work
  • Approximately 20-30 hours per week, with potential increase to 30-40 hours depending on business needs

Compensation

  • Hourly rate range for candidates located in NE/NW/West Coast regions: $78 – $105
  • Hourly rate range for candidates located in SE/MW/SW regions: $75 – $101
  • Final compensation based on qualifications, skillset, relevant experience, client needs, and project requirements
