Overview
This role involves providing legal support to the commercial side of the business, including contract development, agreement management, external customer sales of products and services, and government contracting. The position requires an in-depth understanding of key business drivers and how the legal team's work integrates with other teams to contribute to the overall area.
Responsibilities
- Lead all strategic commercial contracts and process issues within the region.
- Support the regional team on commercial matters and improve existing processes.
- Establish and maintain efficient processes within a compliant culture across the region.
- Act as a business partner by applying combined business and legal judgment to proposed deals, relationships, and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention.
- Draft, review, and negotiate strategic business agreements and transactions, including customer sales contracts, amendments, and sales agreements.
- Advise the business on regulatory, privacy, antitrust, and advertising/promotional matters.
- Provide regulatory and compliance advice in conjunction with regulatory and compliance specialists.
- Support dispute resolution and litigation as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- 3 to 5+ years of relevant legal experience.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize conflicting demands from multiple business clients in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and customer/client interaction.
- Experience in the healthcare industry and familiarity with medical industry regulations such as FDA and Medicare/Medicaid anti-kickback statutes.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Skills in documentation, planning, marketing, and program execution.
- Established project management skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $112,000 to $168,000 (U.S. based positions only).
- Compensation decisions depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Eligibility for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
