Commercial Contracts Attorney

Overview

This role is a full-time, remote in-house counsel position supporting the full lifecycle of commercial contracting. The ideal candidate has experience owning and running the full commercial contracting function at a high-growth technology company.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, including customer, vendor, and SaaS agreements
• Support commercial contracting activities across related areas such as privacy and security agreements
• Use contract lifecycle experience and AI-assisted legal workflows to manage and streamline contracting work
• Operate as the primary counsel supporting commercial contracting needs through the engagement period

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with customer, vendor, SaaS, privacy, security agreements, and commercial contracts
• Prior in-house counsel experience is required
• Experience in the technology industry is required
• Fluent with contract lifecycle and AI-assisted legal workflows
• J.D. and excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
• Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay (annualized): $160,000 to $190,000 when calculated on a full-time basis

• Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
