Overview

An organization is seeking an attorney with over 7 years of legal experience in a large law firm and/or an in-house legal department. The role involves supporting the business teams of a global manufacturer by working alongside the client’s general counsel and deputy general counsel. The position offers flexibility in hours, ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week, and is open to remote candidates with a preference for those able to work fully or in a hybrid capacity on-site in Atlanta.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and review a wide variety of corporate and commercial contracts
  • Collaborate with general counsel and deputy general counsel to support business teams
  • Handle contracts primarily related to manufacturing and distribution companies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of legal experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing corporate and commercial contracts
  • Experience working at a large law firm and/or in-house at a large company
  • Significant experience with Master Development Agreements (MDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and commercial sales agreements
  • Background working with manufacturing and/or distribution companies
  • Excellent academic credentials from a U.S. accredited law school
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain legal issues effectively to nonlawyers
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Outstanding professional references
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of residence

Position Details

  • Role Type: Contract
  • Schedule: Part-time to full-time (20 to 40 hours per week, flexible)
  • Location: Remote within the Eastern U.S., with a strong preference for hybrid on-site work in Atlanta

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annualized compensation (full-time equivalent) ranges from $170,000 to $200,000 or more, based on experience, qualifications, credentials, and location
  • W2 employment status with eligibility for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week
