Overview
The organization is expanding its legal team in EMEA and is seeking a data privacy-focused attorney to partner with revenue teams across the region. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of sophisticated agreements in a fast-paced environment with collaborative, low-hierarchy working practices.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a legal business partner to EMEA revenue teams by summarizing and communicating legal concepts and risks in a way that supports business decision-making.
- Take ownership of drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a broad range of legal agreements.
- Advise on contract interpretation and negotiation to accelerate contract velocity.
- Understand customer and internal client context, and aim to solve problems and address issues from their perspective.
- Triage a heavy workflow by setting appropriate priorities and delivering results efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement of agreement templates and legal processes.
- Manage agreements in compliance with company policies and risk tolerance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in Israel, the UK, or at least one country in Europe, with a demonstrated record of success as a lawyer.
- 4+ years of in-house legal experience in a software/technology company.
- Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate a high volume and broad range of contracts, including SaaS contracts, professional services agreements, partner agreements, and NDAs.
- Strong communication skills in English AND either French or German, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of data privacy and hands-on experience handling data privacy questions when negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
- Business-friendly approach, with an understanding that the legal team primarily supports business growth and success.
- Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Compensation & Benefits
Location
EMEA (position based in a country where the applicant has the legal right to work without the need for visa sponsorship). This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
