Overview
A rapidly growing cloud security startup is expanding its legal team in the EMEA region and seeking a talented, creative attorney with a focus on data privacy. This role involves working on sophisticated contracts, closing deals, and collaborating closely with internal teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a legal business partner to revenue teams in EMEA, clearly communicating legal concepts and risks to business stakeholders.
- Take ownership of drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of legal agreements.
- Advise colleagues on contract interpretation and negotiation to accelerate contract execution.
- Understand the perspectives of customers and internal clients to solve problems effectively.
- Manage a heavy workflow by prioritizing tasks and delivering results efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement of agreement templates and legal processes.
- Ensure agreements comply with company policies and risk tolerance.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of in-house legal experience within a software or technology company.
- Fluency in German, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of data privacy laws and experience handling data privacy issues, including negotiating Data Processing Agreements.
- Admission to the bar and in good standing or authorized to practice law in Israel, the UK, or at least one European country, with a proven track record as a lawyer.
- Strong business-oriented approach, understanding that the legal team supports business growth and success.
- Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate a high volume and broad range of contracts, including SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, partner agreements, and NDAs.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems.
- Legal right to work in the country where the position is based without visa sponsorship (visa sponsorship not offered).
