Overview
A growing organization is seeking a dynamic, business-minded attorney to support its sales, business development, and partner teams. This fully remote role, based anywhere in the U.S., focuses exclusively on revenue-generating activities including direct sales, partner transactions, and services. The position offers deep ownership over the deal lifecycle and requires strong skills in negotiating SaaS enterprise agreements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Business Development, and Services teams to accelerate revenue operations and implement best practices in contracting processes.
- Act as the primary legal contact and subject-matter expert for complex transactions involving direct sales, resellers, ISVs, and global partners to facilitate faster deal closures.
- Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial legal documents including SaaS agreements, partner and reseller agreements, software license and maintenance agreements, services agreements, and RFP responses.
- Coordinate with outside counsel and internal legal team members to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
- Participate in ad hoc company projects such as mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and other corporate initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including hands-on work with SaaS enterprise agreements (direct sales, partner/channel, or services agreements).
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school.
- Active membership in good standing with a U.S. State Bar.
- Strong enthusiasm for complex deal-making and ability to work professionally and collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Self-driven, business-focused, and invested in building an inclusive environment.
- Ability to engage directly with customers and internal teams to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Skilled at quickly assessing situations, thinking creatively, and driving transactions to close.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government technology contracting, including cooperative purchasing vehicles such as GSA, SEWP, NASPO, or TX-DIR.
- Familiarity with software revenue recognition rules.
- Experience negotiating professional services engagements alongside SaaS agreements.
- Exposure to privacy or government relations compliance matters.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $145,000 - $165,000 (before taxes), adjustable based on factors such as location, education, skills, training, and experience.
- Eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
