Overview
The organization is expanding its legal team in EMEA and is seeking a data privacy-focused attorney to support revenue teams with contract strategy, drafting, and deal execution. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with internal teams to close contracts efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a legal business partner to revenue teams in EMEA by summarizing and communicating legal concepts and risks in a way that is meaningful to business stakeholders.
- Take ownership of drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of legal agreements; advise on contract interpretation and negotiation to help accelerate contract velocity.
- Understand customer context and internal request drivers, and approach issues from multiple perspectives to solve problems effectively.
- Triage a heavy workflow by setting appropriate priorities and delivering results efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement of agreement templates and legal processes.
- Manage agreements in alignment with company policies and risk tolerance.
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in Israel, the UK, or at least one country in Europe, with a demonstrated record of success as a lawyer.
- 4+ years of in-house legal experience in a software/technology company.
- Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate a high volume and broad range of contracts, including SaaS contracts, professional services agreements, partner agreements, and NDAs.
- Strong communication skills in English and either French or German, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of data privacy and hands-on experience handling data privacy-related questions when negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
- A business-friendly approach that reflects an understanding of the legal team’s role in supporting business growth and success.
- Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as a highly collaborative team member.
