Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary reviewer and negotiator for complex, non-standard enterprise SaaS and services agreements across the U.S. and Europe.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a modern legal infrastructure, including clause libraries, negotiation guidelines, and customized contract templates.
- Utilize AI-powered contract review tools to identify risks, accelerate deal processes, and improve contract review models.
- Act as a trusted advisor to sales leadership, project teams, and information security to resolve deal issues, clarify scopes of work, and translate legal risks into actionable business decisions.
- Manage critical risk functions such as data privacy compliance, state and federal due diligence, and oversee annual corporate insurance policy renewals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience handling technology contracts at a law firm or in sales-side legal operations for a high-growth B2B SaaS or enterprise software company.
- Deep, current knowledge of information security, data privacy, and intellectual property requirements relevant to Fortune 500 companies, multinational European brands, and major U.S. financial institutions.
- Substantive expertise with state, local government, and higher education procurement statutes.
- Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, Salesforce, and a strong interest in leveraging AI-powered contract review technologies.
- Legal background with a J.D. or equivalent legal training, including experience as a second-level reviewer and approver for complex, high-risk agreements.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.
