Overview

A well-established Texas law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join their team in Beaumont, Texas or Houston, Texas. The firm has a strong reputation in litigation and business advisory matters, representing clients across industries such as construction, real estate development, banking, transportation, insurance, and commercial enterprises. This position offers exposure to a wide range of sophisticated business disputes and litigation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial and business disputes through various phases of litigation in state and federal courts
  • Handle construction-related disputes involving contractors, developers, project owners, subcontractors, and related business entities
  • Draft pleadings, motions, written discovery, and other litigation-related filings
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and overall case strategy
  • Work directly with clients to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance throughout litigation
  • Assist with disputes involving contracts, development projects, lending relationships, and other commercial matters
  • Collaborate with team members while maintaining ownership over assigned matters

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience preferred, especially in commercial, business, or construction litigation
  • Experience with core litigation responsibilities including drafting motions, conducting discovery, taking depositions, and attending hearings
  • Strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently manage assignments and communicate directly with clients
  • Texas bar license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with construction-related or real estate-related disputes is a plus but not required
