Overview

A growing Energy Group within a national commercial real estate services organization is seeking an Underwriter to support the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies. This role involves providing underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customers, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide underwriting support and authorization related to real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
  • Apply underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits.
  • Guide company personnel in performing real estate settlement services.
  • Issue underwriting standards and guidelines following established company processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Law degree required (for Counsel role).
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing.
  • 5-7 years of title underwriting experience.
  • Familiarity with real estate law.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of real estate title and settlement processes.
  • General knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to real estate title insurance and settlement services.
  • Understanding of underwriting real estate transactions for title insurance issuance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and make decisive decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up promptly.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think abstractly and develop creative solutions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $97,700.00 - $130,300.00 annually.
  • Pay is based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, paid sick leave, and an employee stock purchase plan (based on eligibility).
