Overview
A law firm specializing in residential construction litigation is seeking a Florida-licensed attorney with 10+ years of experience in construction matters to join as a full-time Construction Litigation Associate. The firm focuses on disputes involving homeowners, contractors, subcontractors, HOAs, and condominium associations throughout Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely or from the office in East Boca Raton.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of pre-trial construction dispute resolution.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to homeowners, contractors, HOAs, and condominium associations on issues related to payments, timing, and quality of work in major construction and renovation projects.
- Communicate empathetically with clients, offering real-life guidance on important issues.
- Resolve client issues promptly and efficiently.
- Negotiate with opposing parties or their attorneys to resolve construction disputes.
- Support senior attorneys with complex litigation matters.
Qualifications
- Licensed attorney in Florida with at least 3 years of construction litigation experience.
- Working knowledge of Florida's Construction Lien Law.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving positive client outcomes.
- Experience in the construction industry or transactional work is a plus.
- Ability to resolve disputes efficiently in the best interests of clients.
- Skilled in delegating tasks to paralegals and support staff.
- Empathetic with clients while capable of having difficult conversations.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficient with technology and AI tools.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage increasing workloads accurately.
- Clear and concise writing and communication skills that instill client confidence.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $150,000 - $185,000 annually, including incentives.
- Opportunity to generate clients within the firm’s niche, with potential for increased earnings.
Location
- Position can be remote or based in East Boca Raton, Florida.
- Work covers the entire State of Florida.
