Overview

A legal services organization is seeking experienced Consumer Protection Attorneys to support leading technology companies. This role involves providing expert legal guidance on consumer protection regulations, product safety, liability, and youth protection within the technology sector.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on compliance with consumer protection laws, focusing on product safety, liability, and youth protection regulations.
  • Provide legal counsel on product liability matters, including defense against consumer claims and ensuring warranty and safety compliance.
  • Offer strategic advice on platform integrity, digital safety, and trust & safety initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as product development, marketing, content moderation, and customer service to align activities with consumer protection requirements and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Licensed U.S. attorney with a minimum of 7 years of specialized experience in consumer protection regulation.
  • Experience in technology, e-commerce, media, or digital product sectors.
  • Knowledge of trust & safety frameworks, youth protection laws, and ethics/compliance standards.
  • Proven expertise advising on product safety, advertising compliance, and content moderation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex regulatory and ethical issues.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated total compensation for full-time attorney roles ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 annually.
  • Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.

Location

  • This position supports clients primarily in North America but may involve work across other regions.
