Overview

An opportunity is available for experienced Contract Lawyers to join a modern, high-performing legal platform designed for technology-driven businesses. This role offers flexible, project-based work supporting leading technology companies through a curated network of independent attorneys.

This position is not within a traditional law firm. Attorneys have the autonomy to select projects that match their expertise, manage their own schedules, and focus on delivering impactful legal work without conventional firm constraints.

Candidates must hold an active license in good standing in California or New York.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and redline a variety of commercial agreements
  • Advise clients on contract terms, risk exposure, and negotiation strategies
  • Deliver precise, high-quality legal work with efficient turnaround times

  • SaaS agreements
  • Vendor and supplier contracts
  • NDAs and data processing agreements
  • Commercial terms and conditions
  • General contract review and redlining for technology companies

Requirements

  • Active U.S. bar license in good standing (California or New York)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience focused on commercial contracts
  • Experience at a top-tier law firm or as in-house counsel at a technology company
  • Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • Active professional liability (malpractice) insurance

Commitment and Location

  • Project-based, ongoing independent contractor position
  • Fully remote
  • Open to U.S.-based candidates licensed in California or New York
