Overview
A financial technology organization is seeking a Paralegal to join their Legal team. This role supports a technology-forward legal function focused on complex products and partnerships within the financial services industry.
Responsibilities
- Utilize AI tools to streamline contracting, legal research, and operations.
- Negotiate commercial agreements such as non-disclosure and vendor agreements to protect the organization's interests while enabling business agility.
- Manage legal entity formation and governance, including maintaining corporate records, board and shareholder consents, and governance documents.
- Develop and enhance the legal operations function by improving templates, workflows, playbooks, and systems to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Compliance, Product, Operations, and Procurement to support commercial, corporate, and operational initiatives.
- Identify process gaps within the legal team, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of law firm paralegal experience.
- Experience with corporate and transactional matters, including drafting and reviewing legal agreements and related documentation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Experience using AI legal tools for contract review, document automation, or legal research, with an interest in leveraging new technology to improve legal workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-house paralegal experience, particularly supporting commercial or corporate work.
- Experience in a hyper-growth, tech-focused company, preferably in fintech, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with international entity management and governance.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools or legal operations software.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $84,532 - $99,450
