Corporate Attorney

Overview

An experienced corporate attorney is sought for a part-time, remote contract engagement. This role involves providing counsel to privately held businesses, particularly serving as deal counsel to founders and owners of smaller companies. The position is well-suited for attorneys who can manage multiple projects from inception through completion in a boutique firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide corporate and transactional legal counsel to privately held businesses
• Serve as deal counsel for founders and business owners
• Manage multiple legal projects simultaneously from start to finish

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate/transactional law, with particular expertise in private placements
• Broad experience counseling privately held businesses
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Tennessee
• Strong time-management skills, attention to detail, professional judgment, and communication abilities
• Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits

• Annualized pay ranges from $180,000 to $190,000 on a full-time equivalent basis; actual pay for contract engagements depends on experience, qualifications, location, market factors, and candidate preferences
