Overview
This role is a flexible, multi-month contract engagement for an attorney with 5+ years of sophisticated corporate transactional and M&A experience. You will support the knowledge management team of an AmLaw 100 law firm client in connection with the firm-wide implementation of an AI platform.
In this position, you will act as the firm’s subject matter expert for corporate transactions and M&A. You will leverage your corporate experience and platform training to guide attorneys on effective use of the AI platform. The work includes building deep proficiency in the platform’s capabilities, collaborating on platform optimization, and serving as an internal resource for substantive and practical questions related to corporate transaction workflows and AI-enabled solutions.
This position allows remote work from any location in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for corporate transactions and M&A for the client firm’s internal teams
- Develop deep proficiency in the AI platform’s capabilities
- Guide attorneys in the effective use of the AI platform for corporate transaction workflows
- Collaborate on platform optimization and process improvements
- Provide practical, substantive answers to internal questions related to corporate transaction work and AI-enabled solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of corporate transactional experience, preferably at a mid-to-large size law firm
- Licensed attorney in good standing in the state of residence
- Outstanding references
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience handling corporate transactions and M&A at a mid-to-large size law firm
- Hands-on experience using AI legal platforms such as CoCounsel, Harvey, and/or Protégé
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: Annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $180,000 to $200,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis.
- Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors, including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference.

- Employment status/benefits: Contract professionals are usually W2 employees and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week
