- Partner with the Business: Collaborate with Sales, RevOps, Finance, and Product on commercial decisions, deal structures, and risk tradeoffs. Translate legal issues into clear, actionable guidance.
- Support Data Privacy and Security Compliance: Review and advise on DPA requirements, security exhibits, and privacy-related contractual obligations across customer and vendor agreements. Keep standard positions current as the regulatory landscape evolves.
- Build and Maintain Legal Infrastructure: Develop and maintain a library of standard agreement templates, negotiation playbooks, and fallback positions to ensure consistent guidance on routine matters.
- Direct Outside Counsel: Scope and manage outside counsel engagements for matters requiring specialized or deeper expertise; keep work well-defined and costs controlled.
- Streamline Legal Workflows: Establish contract intake, tracking, and storage processes that provide visibility into deal status and reduce friction across teams.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3–5 years of in-house legal experience, including meaningful experience with commercial contracts in a SaaS or technology company environment.

- Ability to recognize when to engage outside counsel and manage those relationships without over-reliance.
- Strong business judgment to balance legal risk reduction with operational goals.
