Overview
A leading organization in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech sector is seeking a Corporate Counsel specializing in Clinical Contracts. This role involves driving impactful initiatives and partnering cross-functionally to achieve measurable outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution within a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available)
Compensation: $158,000 – $185,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with legal and business teams to identify key legal issues
- Draft, review, and negotiate various clinical-related contracts and agreements
- Liaise with internal business units and external parties on contractual matters
- Respond promptly to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions
- Identify and mitigate risks while proposing alternatives aligned with business goals
- Review and track ongoing agreements and their statuses
- Support employees in navigating the Contract Management process
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to a U.S. state bar
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a major law firm and/or in-house at a pharmaceutical or healthcare company
- At least 2 years of experience negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements, both U.S. and international
- Strong drafting and legal analysis skills with knowledge of pharmaceutical contract regulations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of engaging with varied management levels
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Intellectual Property and Regulatory Compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Familiarity with Contract Management software and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations compliance tools
- Understanding of healthcare industry regulations
- Experience using collaborative software for remote communication (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
